#KelpDAOExploitFreeze

The most critical headline in the market right now is the $293 million exploit of Kelp DAO, the largest DeFi theft of 2026.

What Happened:

Hackers (linked by security firms to the Lazarus Group) exploited a vulnerability in the protocol's cross-chain bridge verification. By poisoning the message validation logic, they were able to mint 116,500 rs $ETH out of thin air on the $ETH network without any actual backing.

The Freeze:

In an immediate response to stop the bleeding, Kelp DAO paused all relevant contracts and blacklisted the attackers' wallets. This move successfully blocked a second attempt to drain an additional 40,000 rs $ETH (approx. $95 million).
