I used to think verification was solved 😮‍💨

Run model → Get output → Move on.
When someone said "verify inference" I laughed.
"Cryptographers looking for jobs"

Computation is computation. What’s to verify?

Then the problem hit. Quietly.

Model gave an answer.
But was it THE model I paid for?
Run honestly?
Or cheap substitute to cut costs?

No receipt. Just trust.
In infrastructure, trust = hope 💀

That's the gap.

When inference = something you BUY, SETTLE, or are LEGALLY accountable for...
"it probably ran correctly" stops cutting it.

Regulators want: What made this decision?
Institutions want: Audit trail
Builders want: No quiet degradation

Most "solutions" bolt trust on after.
Logs you must believe.
Attestations from the same party you're auditing.

Verification at compute layer fixes this.
IF overhead is bearable.
IF people actually check proofs.

Too slow = dead.
Nobody verifies = useless.

Useful for the few who get fired for being wrong.
