People often measure a DeFi ecosystem by TVL, trading volume, or the number of protocols.
Those metrics matter but they don't tell the whole story.
What really keeps an ecosystem alive is flow.
Flow of capital.
Flow of information.
Flow of users.
Flow of opportunities.
When these elements move efficiently, builders have access to liquidity, traders can react to market conditions, and new projects have a better chance to grow.
When they don't, ecosystems become fragmented.
This is why I believe infrastructure deserves far more attention than it usually gets.
Protocols like STON.fi don't simply enable token swaps they help keep value moving throughout the TON ecosystem. Every efficient transaction contributes to healthier capital flow, and healthier capital flow strengthens the ecosystem as a whole.
The strongest ecosystems aren't defined by how much value they hold.
They're defined by how effectively that value moves.
