posted about @OpenGradient every day for two weeks. time for the honest verdict, not the highlight reel.
what holds up: verifiable inference is a real problem, not a manufactured one. the day autonomous agents move real money, "trust the API" stops being enough, and signed on-chain compute is one of the few answers that actually ships today. the enclave route over zkML is the pragmatic call. the funding is infra money, not exit-liquidity money.
what i don't know yet: whether the demand shows up. a verification layer is only worth its token if people actually run inference through it, and that usage chart doesn't exist yet. early infra lives or dies on adoption, not on how good the thesis sounds.
where i land: $OPG is a real bet on a real thesis at a stage where plenty can still go wrong. worth understanding, not worth betting the house. i'll come back when there's usage data to judge instead of a pitch.
