I went down a rabbit hole today that had nothing to do with price.

The more I read, the less interested I became in new tokens and the more interested I became in what actually happens before a transaction is approved.

That led me to Newton Protocol.

One thing stood out. Most blockchain conversations are still about speed, fees, or throughput. Very few are asking how on-chain systems decide what should or shouldn't be allowed to happen.

That question seems boring until you realize it's exactly the kind of problem institutions have been trying to solve for years.

The deeper I looked, the more it felt like the real work isn't happening where everyone is watching. It's happening underneath, where wallets, permissions, and compliance are gradually becoming part of the transaction itself instead of something handled afterward.

Maybe that's why this doesn't dominate the timeline.

Infrastructure rarely does.

You usually notice it only after it has already become part of the way everything works
