I've been watching Newton Protocol a little differently lately. I'm looking less at the technology and more at the people gathering around it. I'm waiting to see what changes once AI isn't just suggesting decisions but quietly making them. I keep wondering whether trust comes from the code itself or from the people deciding how that code is used.
The more I watch, the more I notice that pressure has a way of exposing things that calm markets never do. Everyone talks about automation when it works, but very few talk about who carries the responsibility when it doesn't. Incentives have a strange habit of shaping behavior long before anyone realizes they've become the real system.
Maybe that's what I keep circling back to. Not whether the infrastructure is secure enough, but whether the people building, governing, and depending on it will still make the same decisions once the pressure becomes real.
I can't quite tell if I'm watching something becoming stronger... or simply becoming more convincing.
