Newton Protocol (NEWT)* is a crypto project building an “authorization layer” for on-chain transactions + verifiable AI automation.
*What it does*
1. *Authorization / Compliance Layer*
Smart contracts are “blind” to off-chain rules. Newton closes that gap by letting protocols define policies — sanctions checks, KYC, risk limits, spend caps — and screening every transaction _before_ it settles.
It runs checks in Trusted Execution Environments + publishes zero-knowledge proofs, so you can verify compliance without exposing private data.
2. *Verifiable AI Agent Automation*
Users can delegate complex DeFi tasks to AI agents: trading, yield farming, rebalancing, etc.
`zkPermissions` encode the rules — e.g. “only trade if price > X” — so agents can only act within limits you set. Everything is enforced on-chain with cryptographic proofs.
3. *Mainnet Beta*
Newton’s mainnet beta is live. It launched with VaultKit SDK for programmable policies + partners like RedStone for live price data used in policy checks.
*$NEWT Token*
- *ERC-20, 1B fixed supply*
- *Utility*:
1. *Gas/fees* for policy computation + agent sessions
2. *Staking collateral* for network operators/validators
3. *Governance* voting
4. *Model Registry fees* + royalties for AI agent developers
*Built by*: Magic Labs / Magic Newton Foundation. Magic Labs also built the first embedded crypto wallet used by Polymarket, Forbes, WalletConnect, etc.
*In short*: Think of it as “programmable guardrails + AI agents for DeFi” — you set the rules, Newton enforces them on-chain, and agents can act for you without giving up custody.#Newt #newton $NEWT
