One of the most interesting aspects of my research into AI infrastructure is a simple question:
Who should be rewarded when AI creates value?
Today, AI models are trained on enormous amounts of data generated by countless contributors. Yet in most cases, the people who provide data, improve datasets, or help develop models receive little or no recognition once the system becomes successful.
This is where Proof of Attribution stands out as one of the most important ideas behind OpenLedger.
The Attribution Problem in AI
Modern AI depends on a chain of contributors:

If contributors cannot prove their impact, they cannot fairly participate in the value generated by AI systems.
