we need to look at the actual data here. a recent coingecko study tracked 11 major chains to see who keeps their users after a full year, and the results are a massive reality check. $ETH is still the king of keeping people around with a 26.2% retention rate, meaning roughly one in four wallets actually stuck around.
meanwhile, $BNB secured the second spot with a 20.5% retention rate while maintaining the largest overall user base at nearly 1.5 million active wallets. even the gaming-focused $RON pulled a solid 19.1% retention, proving that real utility always beats temporary yield farming incentives.

New L1 pitches used to feel like someone handing you a houseplant and swearing it'll bloom by Friday — I've killed enough of those to stop believing the timeline on sight.
That was my whole read on Newton Protocol for a while.
