Consensys CEO and #Ethereum co-founder #JosephLubin stated that Ethereum is expected to evolve into a protocol entirely based on zero-knowledge proofs (#ZK proofs) within the next 3 to 5 years.
Speaking on the ecosystem’s roadmap, Lubin highlighted the "#LeanEthereum " initiative aimed at migrating real-time ZK proof technologies from Layer 2 to the Layer 1 mainnet.
This transition will significantly boost L1 performance, scale throughput to over 10,000 TPS, and enable seamless, atomic cross-chain transactions without the need for traditional bridges.
