Donald Trump a utilisé un post sur Truth Social lundi matin pour accuser les Démocrates et les critiques républicains d’avoir compliqué un accord avec l’Iran alors qu’il était quasiment finalisé.

Ce post est survenu après des frappes américaines menées ce week-end sur des sites militaires iraniens et une contre-attaque de Téhéran sur une base aérienne américaine dans le Golfe.

Cette riposte marque la dernière escalade d’une guerre qui dure depuis douze semaines. Les négociateurs auraient été proches d’un cadre d’accord de 60 jours concernant la navigation dans le détroit d’Ormuz et le programme nucléaire iranien.

Échec de l’accord et riposte politique

Le post de Trump publié lundi soutient que l’Iran souhaite un accord, mais que les critiques au niveau national compliquent la négociation. Il avait précédemment réclamé des modifications sur les clauses concernant l’uranium enrichi de l’Iran et le calendrier de la vérification américaine.

« L’Iran veut vraiment parvenir à un accord, et ce sera un bon accord pour les États-Unis et tous ceux qui sont avec nous. Mais est-ce que les Dumocrats et certains Républicains apparemment peu patriotes comprennent qu’il m’est BEAUCOUP plus difficile de bien faire mon travail et négocier quand des politicards ne cessent de faire des commentaires négatifs – à un niveau jamais vu – encore et encore, disant que je devrais agir plus vite, ou plus lentement, ou faire la guerre, ou ne pas la faire, ou quoi que ce soit d’autre. Contentez-vous d’attendre et de vous détendre, tout se passera bien à la fin – c’est toujours le cas ! » a posté Donald Trump sur Truth Social.

Le projet d’accord exigerait de l’Iran qu’il élimine toutes les mines dans le détroit d’Ormuz sous 30 jours. Il réaffirmerait également l’engagement de Téhéran à ne pas produire d’armes nucléaires, en échange d’exemptions sur les sanctions pétrolières. Environ 20 % du pétrole mondial transitent chaque jour par ce passage stratégique.

Les discussions pour la réouverture du détroit d’Ormuz ont influencé le prix de l’énergie tout au long du conflit.

L’ancien secrétaire d’État Mike Pompeo a mené la contestation républicaine, qualifiant les termes proposés de cadeau sur les sanctions. Cette division interne a compliqué le calendrier de la Maison-Blanche.

Frappes américaines et riposte de Téhéran

Le Commandement central des États-Unis a décrit les opérations du week-end comme défensives. Elles visaient des positions de lancement de missiles et des navires posant des mines dans les eaux du sud de l’Iran. Les médias d’État iraniens ont confirmé une frappe de représailles sur une base aérienne américaine dans le Golfe sans donner de détails sur les victimes.

La guerre a débuté après la campagne conjointe américano-israélienne de février. Les frappes ont tué de hauts responsables iraniens, dont le Guide suprême Ali Khamenei. Depuis, la fermeture du détroit par Téhéran a entraîné un choc durable sur le marché asiatique de l’énergie. Cela a réduit d’environ un cinquième les flux pétroliers mondiaux.

Le média d’État iranien Fars a déclaré que les derniers posts de Trump contredisent le texte convenu. Le mémorandum de pause de 60 jours reste en cours d’examen par la Maison-Blanche. Le Trésor poursuit son opération Economic Fury contre les réseaux de contournement des sanctions iraniennes.

Ce que les marchés intègrent dans les prix

Les actifs à risque sont restés stables en ce début de semaine. Le prix de Bitcoin (BTC) a évolué autour de 73 300 dollars, en baisse de moins de 1 % sur 24 heures. L’Ethereum (ETH) affichait environ 1 994 dollars selon les données de CoinGecko.

Les frappes du mois de mai avaient auparavant provoqué des liquidations crypto proches de records. Les positions à effet de levier se sont depuis réduites, rendant les traders moins sensibles aux nouvelles du week-end.

Les contrats à terme sur actions et le pétrole évoluent dans des fourchettes étroites. La semaine à venir permettra peut-être de savoir si Trump signe le cadre d’accord en suspens, ou s’il poursuit l’escalade.
