☠️ A new wave of fake Ledger devices is being reported online. These counterfeit hardware wallets are being widely sold through Chinese marketplaces while posing as genuine products.

Inside these devices, investigators have found modified chips, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules. One researcher linked the firmware to Espressif Systems — suggesting the device can secretly steal the seed phrase and potentially drain the wallet at any moment.

A similar scheme previously brought scammers around $9.5 million through a fake version of Ledger Live.

Users are advised to:

Purchase devices only from Ledger or authorized resellers

Immediately run the Genuine Check after setup
