Look, Genius Terminal says it wants to solve one of crypto's biggest problems: fragmentation. Too many chains, too many wallets, too many dashboards. Fair enough. That's a real problem.
But let's be honest. I've seen this movie before. Every time an industry becomes complicated, someone shows up promising a single interface that makes everything easier. It sounds great. Until that interface becomes another dependency.
The question isn't whether Genius Terminal works when everything runs smoothly. The question is what happens when a connected protocol fails, liquidity disappears, or regulators start asking uncomfortable questions. Who controls the system? Who profits from adoption? And is this actually reducing complexity, or simply hiding it behind a cleaner screen?
The catch is that coordination layers often become the very bottlenecks they claim to eliminate. Crypto doesn't have a shortage of tools. It has a shortage of trust. Those aren't the same problem.
