I’m new to US stocks and ETFs, and honestly, I’m still trying to understand how different they are from crypto trading.
In crypto, I usually look at momentum, market mood, volume, and what narrative is getting attention. But when I started looking at US stocks, I noticed people focus more on earnings, company growth, valuation, interest rates, and long-term business strength.
ETFs look easier at first because one ETF gives exposure to many companies. But that also makes me wonder how beginners should judge which ETF is actually good and which one is just popular.
My question is:
For someone coming from crypto, is it better to first learn individual stock analysis, or start with simple ETFs to build discipline and avoid emotional decisions?
I’d like to hear how experienced people approached this when they started.
