I keep seeing people compare AI models every day.

This model is faster. That model is smarter. Another one has a bigger context window.

But recently I've been thinking about something else.

Where does all the information we type actually go?

A lot of us use AI for work, research, ideas, and sometimes even personal questions. We share more information with these tools than we probably realize.

That question is what led me to spend some time reading about @OpenGradient .

The first thing that caught my eye wasn't a model announcement. It was the focus on privacy. OpenGradient says messages are encrypted on the device and identity information is removed before requests reach the model. Whether someone uses AI occasionally or every day, that feels like an area that deserves more attention.

I also checked out chat.opengradient.ai. Besides chat features, there is Image Studio, which lets users generate images using multiple AI models. I like seeing products move beyond a single use case because most people don't use AI for only one thing anymore.

Another thing I noticed is that OpenGradient Chat already supports Claude Fable 5. There is also Nous Hermes available through Private Chat. Having different models available in one place gives users more flexibility depending on what they need.

I'm not someone who chases every new AI launch, but I do pay attention when a project is trying to solve a real problem. Privacy, access to multiple models, and actual products people can use today are all areas worth watching.

Also worth noting: OpenGradient has shared that users who purchase credits and actively use OpenGradient Chat may be eligible for the Season 2 $OPG airdrop.
