CONFIRMED: A real route leak happened. AS18101 (Reliance Communications) announced Telegram's IP prefixes and leaked it globally via FLAG Telecom, disrupting access in the UAE and beyond.
NOT PROVEN: Durov blamed Meta + WhatsApp. But the network behind the leak is Reliance Communications (old Anil Ambani co), NOT Reliance Jio, which is where Meta holds a stake. He mixed up two separate companies.
