A big crypto user had about $50 million in USDT.He wanted to buy AAVE tokens (the coin of Aave, a lending app in crypto/DeFi).
He used the swap button inside the Aave app/website (on his phone).
But the pool didn't have enough AAVE tokens for such a huge buy.
When you buy a lot at once from a small pool, the price jumps up super high → this is called slippage (you pay way more than expected).
He set the slippage limit very high (almost no limit) and clicked "yes" even after many warnings popped up saying "This is dangerous! You might lose almost everything".
Result: He paid ~$50 million... but got only about $36,000 worth of AAVE tokens.
Almost $50 million vanished in one click not stolen, just lost because of bad price impact + bots (MEV) taking advantage.
It was not a hack or bug in Aave. It was a user mistake + the app allowed such a risky trade.
Aave's founder (Stani) said they feel bad and will give back about $600,000 (the fees the system earned from this trade) as help/refund.
Moral in simple words:
Don't swap huge amounts in one go on DeFi apps.
Read warnings carefully.
Use limit orders or smaller trades.
Crypto can eat your money fast if you're not careful.

A big crypto user had about $50 million in USDT.He wanted to buy AAVE tokens (the coin of Aave, a lending app in crypto/DeFi).

Aave's founder (Stani) said they feel bad and will give back about $600,000 (the fees the system earned from this trade) as help/refund.
Moral in simple words:
Don't swap huge amounts in one go on DeFi apps.
Read warnings carefully.

Solv Protocol got hacked a little bit! 🚨
Someone found a bug in one special "vault" called BRO vault.
Because of this bug, the hacker could make way too many fake tokens super easily they did this trick 22 times.
Then, they swapped those fake tokens for real stuff: about 38 SolvBTC (a Bitcoin-related token on Solv).
This was worth around $2.7 million.
Good news:
Only fewer than 10 people lost money not everyone.
All other parts of Solv are safe. Your funds there are okay if you didn't use that one vault.
The Solv team says they will pay back 100% to the people who lost money.
They already fixed the bug so it can't happen again.
They're checking everything with big security experts (like SlowMist, CertiK, Hypernative).
They told the hacker: "Give the money back, and we'll give you 10% as a reward (white-hat bounty)" but the hacker hasn't replied yet.
This shows even good crypto projects can have bugs sometimes. Always be careful in DeFi! Stay safe.
