U.S. Senators Introduce “Mined in America Act” to Localize Crypto Mining and Codify Strategic Bitcoin Reserve

U.S. Senators Bill Cassidy and Cynthia Lummis have introduced the Mined in America Act, which proposes a voluntary certification program to promote domestic development of cryptocurrency mining and related infrastructure, while requiring certified facilities to phase out mining hardware linked to foreign adversaries. The bill would also codify Donald Trump’s executive order establishing a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve.
