The chain and the state registry are two different things.

Imagine buying a parcel of land.

The smart contract executes instantly.

You own it on-chain.

But the government database is down for the weekend.

The blockchain says you own it, but the state says the seller does.

If a dispute happens then, technical perfection means nothing.

A judge looks at the state registry.

Not your digital wallet.
