Meta Is Back in Crypto, but This Time It’s Payments First 💸

Meta has started offering USDC payouts to select creators in Colombia and the Philippines, using Solana and Polygon rails with Stripe handling the backend.

This is very different from Libra/Diem.

No native Meta coin.

No big stablecoin war.

Just existing blockchain infrastructure for faster creator payments.

Solana brings low-cost settlement, Polygon adds another payment rail, and USDC gives creators dollar-based payouts without waiting on slow cross-border banking.
