"Binance Support" called me.
I almost lost everything 😨
Red Flag 5: Fake Customer Support
Last month I got a call from "Binance Support".
The guy knew my email, said my account was flagged, and told me to send 0.5 BNB to "verify" my wallet.
Sounded urgent. Sounded real.
Good thing I hung up and checked. It was 100% fake.
That’s Red Flag 5: Fake Customer Support.
Scammers do 3 things to trick you:
**1. They spoof the number/email**
It looks like +65 XXXX or support@binance.com, but it’s fake.
Binance NEVER calls you first. NEVER.
**2. They create panic**
"Your account will be banned in 10 min!"
"Send crypto now to unlock it!"
They want you scared so you don’t think straight.
**3. They ask for your seed phrase or to send crypto somewhere**
Real support will NEVER ask for your 12/24 word recovery phrase.
If they ask, it’s a scam. End of story.
**How to stay safe in 30 seconds:**
1. Go to the Binance app > Profile > Help & Support. Talk to support ONLY inside the app.
2. Check the official support channel on Binance website.
3. If someone contacts you first, assume it’s a scam until proven otherwise.
4. Never share your seed phrase. Never. Not even to "Binance CEO".
I reported the number to Binance and blocked it.
