One of the most discussed events around @Bedrock this month is the June 20 unlock.

Roughly 40.6 million $BR may enter circulation.

Most investors immediately focus on supply.

Can the network create productive demand faster than new tokens enter the market?

That question matters far more than the unlock itself.

History shows that token unlocks rarely determine long term outcomes on their own.

What matters is whether capital has a reason to stay after the attention disappears.

While researching #bedrock ,I kept returning to a simple observation.

Bitcoin has spent most of its existence as passive capital.

Even after entering #defi ,much of it still sits as collateral waiting to be used more effectively.

That feels like one of the largest inefficiencies in the market today.

The more I studied Bedrock, the less I viewed it as a yield product.

I viewed it as an attempt to organize capital differently.

The opportunity isn't another source of rewards.

It's the possibility of turning idle #bitcoin into coordinated capital.

That's a much bigger market.

If capital can move efficiently toward productive opportunities, every participant benefits.

If it cannot, incentives eventually become the only growth engine.

That's why I care less about unlock headlines and more about whether productive #BTC continues entering the ecosystem, whether capital remains inside vaults after reward periods end, and whether governance participation grows alongside committed capital.

Those are the signals that reveal whether a network is creating temporary activity or durable ownership.

Previous cycles taught us that attracting liquidity is easy.

Retaining liquidity without continuously increasing incentives is much harder.

The strongest financial networks rarely win because they offer the highest rewards.

They win because they make capital more useful.

Bedrock is testing a much larger idea

The future of BTCFi may not belong to the protocol that attracts the most Bitcoin

It may belong to the one that gives Bitcoin the most productive role once it arrives.
