I started keeping a Private Note of questions I asked AI models that G0T noticeably worse answers than the Question Deserved.

The pattern was not random The worse answers clustered around specific territ0ry Anything touching medicine outside of generic wellness advice Anything about chemistry that could theoretically MAp to something dangerous even when the actual question was academic.

Anything political that required taking a real position instead of presEnting both sides as equally valid regardless of the evidence.

Anything historical that involVed violence in detail rather than summary.

These are not edge cases These are exactly the questions where a direct complete well reasoned answer is m0st valuable Medicine matters because health decisions matter.

Chemistry matters because understanding mechanisms matters Politics matters because the evidence is not always baLanced History matters because the details are where the actual lessons live.

Mainstream AI products are not optimized to give you the best answer to these questions They are optimized to MiniMize the company's legal and reputational exposure Those are different optimization targets They produce different outputs.

I have been running the same questions through Nous Hermes on chat.opengradient.ai. The TEE enclave means nobody at the company can see what I asked 0ver 1 million inferences have already processed this way The answers come back complete No hedge inserted at the exact point where the HeDge protects the company more than it protects me.

The questions that mattered most were always the ones getting the worst treatment elsewhere. That is not a coincidence.
