According to PANews, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has expressed his views on the establishment of new AI laboratories, emphasizing that their core mission should be to 'enhance humanity.' He advises against developing systems capable of making autonomous decisions for more than one minute. Buterin highlighted that even if all AI safety concerns are proven unfounded, the current trend of pursuing fully autonomous artificial superintelligence (ASI) companies is excessive. He noted that AI projects focused on enhancing human capabilities, akin to building exoskeletons for the human brain, remain scarce. Buterin advocates for such projects to be as open-source as possible.
