According to PANews, European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde announced that Bulgaria has officially joined the Eurozone, becoming its 21st member. This expansion increases the number of decision-makers in the ECB's Governing Council to 27. Bulgarian National Bank Governor Dimitar Radev emphasized that joining the Eurozone is not merely an economic decision or a currency choice. In 2018, Bulgaria sold a batch of confiscated Bitcoin, totaling approximately 213,500 units, for $3.5 billion. The current market value of this Bitcoin exceeds the country's public debt.
