Prediction markets are going mainstream!
Crypto platforms Coinbase and Crypto.com are simultaneously entering the prediction markets sector.
▫️ Coinbase has launched Coinbase Predict a platform for betting on outcomes across sports, politics, crypto, and culture, available in all 50 U.S. states.
▫️ Crypto.com has introduced OG, its own venue for trading event based contracts (regulated by the CFTC). The exchange had offered similar derivatives before, but is now doubling down with a standalone product amid surging demand.
The move signals growing institutional confidence in prediction markets as a scalable, regulated product category.
