XRP is heading into the final days of 2025 in a difficult and uncertain position. The price is currently hovering around $1.87, well below the levels seen earlier this year, and overall market sentiment appears deeply divided. Many traders have already shifted their focus away from 2025 and are now looking ahead to what 2026 might bring.
Crypto analyst Jake Claver has reignited debate after stating that he is “99.99999% confident” XRP will make an unbelievable move before the year ends. With only a few days left in 2025, such a bold claim has quickly grabbed attention and sparked intense discussion across crypto social media.
A Tough Year for XRP Holders
Claver’s statement is especially controversial given XRP’s recent performance. Just five months ago, XRP was trading near $3.66. Since then, the price has fallen nearly 50%, leaving many long-term holders frustrated.
The chart reflects this struggle clearly. Rallies throughout the year have been short-lived, with sellers consistently stepping in before any sustained momentum could develop. As a result, many investors have stopped focusing on short-term price targets and instead shifted toward longer-term expectations.
At the moment, confidence remains fragile, and patience among XRP holders is wearing thin.
ETF Inflows Tell a Different Story
Despite weak price action, on-chain and institutional data paints a slightly different picture. XRP-related exchange-traded products have recorded $1.14 billion in net inflows over the past month.
Funds associated with firms such as Grayscale, Bitwise, Franklin, and Canary Capital continue to attract capital, even while XRP trades far below its yearly highs. Total net assets linked to XRP products now stand at approximately $1.25 billion, representing close to 1% of XRP’s total market capitalization.
While this does not guarantee an immediate price breakout, it clearly suggests that institutional interest in XRP has not disappeared.
Claver believes this growing exposure could play a critical role moving forward. He points to global liquidity shifts, evolving U.S. regulatory developments, and financial system changes in Japan as potential tailwinds for XRP.
Triple-Digit XRP Predictions Draw Criticism
Claver’s optimism is not limited to the short term. Earlier this month, he once again suggested that XRP could eventually reach triple-digit prices, provided several major catalysts come into play. These include clearer regulatory frameworks, continued growth in XRP-focused ETFs, and broader instability within traditional financial markets.
He has also referenced a recently filed BlackRock ETF that has yet to disclose its underlying asset, speculating that XRP could be involved. While he has acknowledged that this theory is speculative, it has added further fuel to the debate.
At the same time, criticism within the crypto community has intensified. Many argue that repeated bold predictions—especially following missed targets—have damaged analyst credibility. With 2025 nearing its end without a major XRP recovery, frustration among investors has become increasingly visible.
XRP’s Position Heading Into 2026
As things stand, XRP appears caught in a transitional phase. Institutional interest continues to build quietly, yet price action remains stagnant.
Whether Jake Claver’s confidence proves accurate or not, market attention seems increasingly focused on what 2026 may bring rather than on last-minute price moves before the year closes. For now, XRP remains a true test of patience as much as belief.
