The crypto market is still losing billions despite spending three times on audits. The issue isn't with the code.
Traditional audits are good at spotting smart contract bugs, but attackers aren't exploiting the code anymore. They target the human factor: exposed private keys, phishing from devs, governance manipulation, and toxic dependencies. These vectors cause much heavier losses but are less defended.
Let’s be clear: a project "that’s been audited" doesn't mean it's safe. That's a dangerously misleading ticket. True security requires a multi-layered strategy, including operations, people, and infrastructure.
As a trader, don’t blindly trust the audit badge. Look at the team, their operational history, and how they manage risk. As for the market, shocks from hacks like this will continue until the industry broadens its perspective.
DYOR and risk management are paramount.
