The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) starts to move forward. This Thursday, the chairman of the U.S. securities regulator, Paul Atkins, presented the so-called "Crypto Project" ('#ProjectCrypto '), an initiative to modernize the rules and regulations of capital markets to adapt them to cryptocurrencies and blockchain-based trading.
"Many of the inherited rules and regulations make no sense in the 21st century," says its chairman.
