From the bottom of the bear market in 2022 to the top of the bull market in 2025, Bitcoin increased by 7 times, while MicroStrategy skyrocketed by 41 times. How could it outperform Bitcoin by nearly 6 times?

Let's break it down, the total return of MicroStrategy at 41 times = Bitcoin's increase of 7 times × Premium rate change of 3 times × Each share's Bitcoin amount growth of 2 times. Detailed analysis can be seen in my video this afternoon.

The increase in Bitcoin itself and the increase in the amount of Bitcoin are objectively present, only the increase in premium differences requires us to find suitable buying and selling points.

You may wonder, will the amount of Bitcoin always increase and never decrease? Well, the answer might surprise you; MicroStrategy's method really ensures that its Bitcoin amount only increases.

Let's take an example, in 2021, holding one share of MicroStrategy corresponds to 83,000 Satoshis of Bitcoin; by 2025, this number has risen to 194,000 Satoshis. An increase of 130%.

Let me give you the simplest example: Assume that MicroStrategy's current stock price is at a 2x premium. This means that although one share of stock is worth only 100 yuan of Bitcoin, the market is willing to pay 200 yuan to buy that share. At this time, MicroStrategy sold a new share at the price of 200 yuan. After receiving this 200 yuan in cash, they immediately bought back Bitcoin worth 200 yuan in the market. They only issued 'one share' of equity but bought back 'two portions' of Bitcoin assets! This is a simple problem of numerator and denominator in mathematics. Assuming the normal relationship between numerator and denominator is 1:1, with a numerator of 100 Bitcoins and a denominator of 100 shares of MicroStrategy stock, the ratio is the amount of Bitcoin. MicroStrategy's operation is equivalent to adding 2 Bitcoins to the numerator and 1 MicroStrategy stock to the denominator, which will lead to an increase in the ratio, that is, the amount of Bitcoin.
