⚠️ $BARD: Trust is good, but be careful!

You have taken off like a rocket, after the arrival of $BARD, the native token of Lombard, the question many should be asking is simple: how safe is it to invest? Is it a system that has shadowy areas?

Watch out!!!

🔎 The facts
• $BARD was born as a governance and utility token to regulate fees, treasury, and incentives of the LBTC ecosystem.
• The project claims audits, timelocks, and bug bounties → positive signals.
• But the public team is not very transparent, and much of the system relies on a centralized consortium that controls the minting and burning of LBTC.

❗ Real concerns
• Upgrade risk: the contract is upgradable via proxy, even with a 1h timelock. A mistake or abuse could impact the token.
• Unclear governance: $BARD is supposed to "give voice to the community", but how much real power will it have compared to the big players in the consortium?
• Limited supply of LBTC: if today there are only ~14k BTC tokenized, the base on which $BARD rests is still small.

⚖️ The reflection

LBTC has potential, but it is young.
$BARD is even more speculative: its value will depend on the trust of users in the Lombard model.

💡 For investors, the real question is: do I feel safe tying my capital to a project with these levels of centralization and opacity?

🔔 Watch out that it doesn't slip away: it is not just a matter of hype, but of understanding if trust in the system can hold up in the long term.
