Inspired by the artist’s childhood memories of hand-knitted scarves and sweaters made by his grandmother, Chromatic Loom transforms the logic of weaving into an abstract visual language. Lines cross like threads, color fields overlap, and repetition builds a living network across the canvas — part personal history, part generative order.
Created by Fuyuan Zhou (b. 2005, RISD), whose work bridges Shanghai and Providence, this piece reflects a practice rooted in memory, craft, and systems of growth.
