Pantera dropped a report on tokenization that's worth a look.
The tokenization market has surpassed $321.1 billion. Big players like BlackRock, Franklin Templeton, and JPMorgan are in the mix.
However, 77.6% of the assets are what Pantera calls 'wrapped stage'—essentially digital certificates of traditional financial products, with custody, redemption, and management still happening off-chain. Only 2.7% are considered 'native on-chain', capable of operating autonomously on the blockchain.
In a $321.1 billion market, the vast majority are just 'financial products dressed in blockchain.'
Not trying to throw cold water, just a reminder: not all tokenized assets are truly 'on-chain'.
