While most coins are just trying to bounce back to local highs, NEAR has already made an almost vertical move from $1.46 to $2.8.
And what's interesting here isn't just the price surge.
Open interest has spiked sharply, with a positive influx into derivatives, and the long/short ratio is holding around 1.74:1. This means the market has literally started flipping to longs after the breakout.
However, such moves often become risky.
When the chart looks "too obviously bullish," liquidity starts to pile up beneath late longs. And if BTC cools off even a bit — NEAR could quickly deliver a harsh shakeout.
On the 4H chart, the structure remains incredibly strong:
the price is well above the MA, momentum is holding, and volumes aren't dropping. This doesn't look like a random pump.
But psychologically, this is the toughest zone right now.
Those who didn't enter earlier are starting to fear missing out on the move. And the market usually loves to punish FOMO after vertical candlesticks.
For now, NEAR looks like an asset where the momentum hasn't run out yet. But the risk of a sharp pullback is already significantly higher than it was a few days ago.
