First time trading with GENIUS and my blood pressure shot up

After studying the tokenomics yesterday, I decided to dive in and try out the GENIUS trading terminal. I mean, I’ve been hyping it up for three days, and I can’t just talk the talk without walking the walk.

So guess what happened? I almost smashed my computer.

It’s not that it’s hard to use; it’s just way too damn fast. I barely had a chance to react, and boom, my order was filled.

Here’s the deal. I connected my wallet, picked a trading pair, and decided to place a small order to test the waters, 10U at market price. Normally, on other DEXs, you’d have to wait for confirmations, wait for blocks, you know… at least a good ten seconds.

But the moment I clicked my mouse, a notification popped up saying, "Order filled." I was stunned for two seconds—wait, that’s it? Where did my 10U go? What about my position? @GeniusOfficial

I thought it was a bug, refreshed the page three times, only to confirm that the order really went through. It took 3 seconds from my click to completion, with no waiting in between.

Then came the kicker. I originally wanted to buy at a specific price, but because it was so quick, I didn’t even have time to see what the fill price was. I checked the transaction history and found out the slippage was a bit larger than expected, around 0.3%.

Later, I figured out: GENIUS uses PoS+BFT consensus, with confirmation times of 3-5 seconds, which is over ten times faster than regular DEXs. But with speed comes its own set of headaches—you don’t even have time to react, and the order’s gone.

It’s like being used to driving a tractor and then suddenly getting handed a Ferrari; you hit the gas, and the car takes off while you’re still standing there dazed.

But once you adapt, it’s really nice. I placed a few more orders, got used to the speed, and now other DEXs feel maddeningly slow.

Today’s gripe: Can the project team add a “confirm before finalizing” feature? I’m a total klutz; I click and it’s filled, and I don’t even have time to back out. Oh well, as long as I can make some profit.
