Elon Musk's affiliated company has been revealed to acquire 6,000 acres of land in Houston, with a $55 billion AI chip factory, Terafab, about to finalize its site.

According to Bloomberg, a shell company associated with Musk, "WIT Tech LLC," recently purchased at least six plots of land in Grimes County, just outside Houston, totaling over 6,000 acres, likely to secure the location for the planned $55 billion AI chip factory, Terafab. The Terafab project is jointly driven by SpaceX, Tesla, and xAI, with a total investment potentially reaching $119 billion, aimed at providing chip support for AI and robotics projects.

Why it matters: This is a crucial step in Musk's AI infrastructure strategy. If Terafab comes to fruition, it will become one of the largest AI chip manufacturing hubs globally, profoundly impacting the AI chip supply chain landscape.
