*WhatsApp preparing to introduce important status-related feature*

Instant messaging application WhatsApp is preparing to introduce a new feature ‘Status Archive’ through which users will be able to save their expiring status updates in a private archive.
Status updates on WhatsApp are temporary in nature and are visible to selected contacts for 24 hours and then disappear automatically. Although this facility is useful for sharing everyday moments, sometimes important or memorable statuses are also lost forever. WhatsApp has introduced this new feature to solve this problem.
According to a report by WhatsApp Beta Info, the Status Archive feature will automatically save the status as soon as the 24-hour period expires. This means$STG that instead of being permanently deleted, the status will be moved to a private archive, which only the account owner will have access to. This way, users will be able to revisit their old statuses whenever they want.
