That mindset made sense when the ecosystem was young. But mature financial systems rarely leave large pools of capital idle for long.
What makes this interesting is that BTCFi is not really competing to create more Bitcoin. It is competing to create a common language for Bitcoin capital. The market tends to assume that yield is the product. In reality, yield is often just the incentive that attracts liquidity toward a standard.
