What is OM MIGRATION?
Mantra chain migration or OM migration refers to the transferring of the native OM token from the Ethereum (ERC20) network to MANTRA’S own native blockchain, yes you read that quite right, MANTRA now has its own blockchain/network. The deadline for the OM migration is scheduled for January 15th 2026.
Why is it important if you are an OM holder?
OM migration is significant to any holder out there because;
1. New features are unlocked- It will allow users to access Mantra's native ecosystem, including staking & participating in liquidity pools.
2. Future-proof your assets: By migrating your OM to its mainnet, you are ensuring your OM tokens remain valid and avoid reclamation.
3. The OM migration will consolidate liquidity, streamline governance & encourage the use of Mantra’s decentralized applications (dApps) such as staking & Real world Asset tokenization.
 
How to migrate your OM tokens to its mainnet?
Before you rush into anything concerning migration of OM tokens, here is what you should know;$$$
Most CEXs (Binance,  ByBit, Kraken, Bitget, Gate.io, Crypto.com, AscendEX, and UPbit) are supporting the MANTRA (OM) token migration by coordinating a managed sunset process for the old ERC-20 tokens with the project team. Centralised exchange users will be able to seamlessly deposit and withdraw the new native OM tokens on the MANTRA Chain.
In a much more rather simpler explanation, this is what CEXs will or have already done:
Coordination with MANTRA: CEXs like Binance are working directly with the MANTRA team to facilitate the transition for users who hold their OM tokens on the exchange.Deprecation of ERC-20 OM: The ERC-20 OM token will be formally deprecated and phased out by January 15, 2026, after which the native MANTRA Chain OM token will be the sole version.New Native OM Token: The new native OM token will enable a MultiVM expansion and governance on the MANTRA Chain.Direct Exchange Support: For users who hold their OM on one of the mentioned CEXs like Binance, no action is required, as the exchanges will handle the migration internally.On-Chain Integration: The integration of the MANTRA Mainnet with CEXs is already live, increasing liquidity and adoption of the new OM token.
SO if you hold any OM tokens on Binance or any of the above mentioned Centralised Exchanges no action is required from your end, lucky you ey.
But if you do have OM tokens in your non custodial EVM wallet, then too bad you will have to sweat it out with these migration steps below.
OM MIGRATION:
Step1
IF you have your OM tokens are on Polygon, Binance or Base network, then you will need to first bridge those gems to the Ethereum network.  Here is the list of bridges for each network;
1. Binance- Binance Bridge
2. Polygon- Polygon Portal
3. Base-Superbridge.app
NOTE: Here’s the tricky part, bridging OM from Binance to Ethereum network is not supported so bridge those OM tokens to Polygon network, then from Polygon to Ethereum using Polygon portal.
 
 Step 2.
Once bridging is done to the Ethereum network you will need to go to the mantra zone website https://mantra.zone/migrate on the migrate $OM tab. Make sure to connect both your EVM (Metamask/Rabby) wallet and Cosmos (Kepler/Leap) wallet.
Step3
Input the amount of $OM you want to migrate, set your spending cap & approve the transaction. Do note that this is a one-way migration. This process is irreversible.
Migration can take up to 24hours, so you can keep on refreshing the page to know the latest migration status.
