Almost too fast to ignore
#TrustWallet Hack 🥶.
Trust Wallet has been hit, and it’s not a small incident. Hundreds of users are affected, and so far more than $6.77 million has been drained.
The attacker wasted no time, already pushing around $4.25 million through places like ChangeNOW, FixedFloat, KuCoin, and HTX, which pretty much tells you this wasn’t an accident or a one-off slip. This was active, deliberate, and moving.
Further, So What makes it feel heavier is that it isn’t confined to one chain. The money scattered across EVM networks, Bitcoin, even Solana, a bit messy, a bit chaotic, but effective if you’re trying to stay ahead of trackers. Still, the trails are visible. Arkham has already grouped the wallets, and the hacker’s footprint is very much out in the open if you know where to look.
There is at least one small relief here.
#CZ stepped in publicly and said Trust Wallet will cover user losses in full. That doesn’t erase the damage, obviously, but it does change the tone.
Right now, the main thing is awareness. The theft addresses are circulating, funds are still moving, and this isn’t over yet. If anything, it feels like we’re somewhere in the middle of the story, not the end. Stay sharp, double-check everything, and don’t assume the dust has settled, because it really hasn’t.
