Metaplanet has just announced that it has purchased additional Bitcoin for its treasury. The acquisition announced today amounts to 5075 BTC. With this move, Metaplanet positions itself as one of the largest Bitcoin-holding publicly listed companies in the world.

The company currently holds a total of 40,177 Bitcoin, placing it third in the rankings. Only Strategy ranks higher with 762,099 Bitcoin, followed by Tweny One Capital with 43,514 Bitcoin.

In the long term, Metaplanet has outlined an ambitious goal: to accumulate 210,000 Bitcoin, which would represent approximately 1% of the total Bitcoin supply.
