Well, then… B3 started this Monday (20) another stage to extend the trading hours for futures contracts of crypto and gold, just as had been mentioned at the beginning of the year.

Now, the contracts for Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, and gold will run from 8 AM to 8 PM, from Monday to Friday — that's about 12 hours of trading per day, right? This concludes that plan that had started in March, when they had already pushed the hours to 6:30 PM.

This increase is to align the Brazilian market more with the rest of the world, especially in the case of cryptocurrencies, which never stop. By the way, the stock exchange also changed the allocation time for financial derivatives, which now goes until 8:30 PM.

B3 itself stated that it will keep an eye on how this new schedule will behave, such as liquidity and interest from people. Depending on how it goes, it might even expand this to other products later on.

In the end, this meets an old market demand for more flexibility, giving investors the chance to adjust their positions outside traditional hours. It also reinforces the idea of the stock exchange providing a regulated environment for this type of asset.

Oh, and the futures contracts there are designed to make things easier: they have smaller values and the settlement is purely financial, based on global indices. In other words, there's no need to store physical gold or cryptocurrency — which helps both for protection and for more elaborate strategies.

To manage all of this, B3 also adjusted the data disclosure. After it closes at 8 PM, they start releasing complementary reports with the final numbers for crypto and gold, while other products continue with the usual scheme.$XAUT ,$BTC ,$ETH
