Bitcoin today: BTC weakens after surpassing $80k amid Middle East tensions
Well, the Bitcoin actually broke past $80k in the early hours of this Monday (4), you know... but it didn’t hold for long. By early morning, it was already hovering in the range of $78k after news came out in Iranian media that two missiles from Iran hit a U.S. Navy ship in the Strait of Hormuz, because it didn’t heed the warnings.
Even so, early in the morning the BTC was still showing a small pump of 0.6%, trading around $78,935 over the last 24 hours, but with a slight dip of 1% in the last hour. Here in Brazil, that was about R$391k. Meanwhile, Ethereum was up 1.2%, sitting at $2,341. XRP had a rise of 0.5%, and Solana was just creeping up a bit, around 0.1%.
