Recently, many friends asked me how to play The Beacon's first season, whether it's worth the investment, and if there’s $BCN to be earned.
As someone who has been following this project, I've compiled this complete guide from scratch.
No fluff, let's get straight to the point.

1⃣What kind of game is this?
The Beacon is a Web3 dungeon exploration game, and the first season 'Goblin's Bet' is its initial version operating on a seasonal basis, officially launching on May 25.
There are three core selling points:

🔹Completely free to play, no mandatory payments

🔹You can earn real $BCN tokens through gameplay

🔹Paid players' outfits are real NFTs and can be traded in the market

The total prize pool for the entire season is about 7.7 million $BCN, distributed to all participating players.

2⃣Three types of currency, understanding this is crucial
The first season has three types of currency, and many newcomers get confused here; I'll explain it in the simplest way.

🔹Shadow shards → Basic in-game points → Open shadow chests to earn a small amount of $BCN

🔹Gobloonz → Chips for the betting table → Kraken chests to obtain exclusive NFTs and lots of $BCN

🔹Glint → Recharge token → In-game purchases for items or exclusive chests

Remember a key logic: Shadow shards → Gobloonz → Bet in the casino to earn $BCN, this is the main line for the entire season.

3⃣Two routes, how to choose?
Each account refreshes 100 stamina daily, consuming 20 stamina per dungeon run.
Route One: Conservative (suitable for beginners/not wanting to spend money)
Run dungeons → Earn shadow shards → Open shadow chests → Obtain NFTs + a small amount of $BCN
Pros: Completely free, zero risk
Cons: Limited $BCN output, appearance account binding not tradeable

Route Two: Aggressive (suitable for players who want to dive deep)
Run dungeons → Earn shards → Exchange for Gobloonz → Stake in Kraken Klash → Earn more $BCN
Pros: Higher $BCN output, appearance NFTs are tradeable
Cons: Some risk involved, need to pay to unlock maximum earnings

Suggestion: First, run the process for free, understand the mechanics, then decide whether to purchase a premium membership (19.9U) or Glint.

4⃣Prize pool introduction
The two prize pools share a total of 9.7% of the total tokens

🔹Basic prize pool shares 5% (depends on the number of chests you earn)

🔹Recharge prize pool shares 4.7%
Example: Spending $100, you can exchange about 266 $BCN in the first tier, but only 100 $BCN in the seventh tier.
Early players can grab 166 more, nearly a 2.7 times difference.

5⃣Holding NFTs gives bonuses

🧙Founding characters: Daily snapshots, each character earns 200 shadow shards daily.

🐾Pets: Can increase the drop rate of shadow shards in the dungeon, with a daily cap (not recommended to buy if not dungeon grinding)
