After doing DCA (Dollar Cost Averaging) multiple times and holding for over three months, I have finally closed this trade. But did I learn anything from it? The answer is a resounding "Yes".
Drawing from my experience of over a year in the market as a professional trader, I want to share a crucial lesson with everyone—especially the newcomers. No matter how much time it takes to learn, focus entirely on your education. Never take a trade based on someone else's word or signals. Personally, I have never traded on signals, nor will I ever. Even in the past, if I shared a setup, it was only when I had 100% confidence in it.
I want to emphasize that even if the person providing the signal is a trader you know personally, you might make a profit for a day or two, but eventually, you will face a heavy loss. And when that happens, the excuse you’ll hear is "The whole market is down, it’s not just your loss". I didn't know the technicals or fundamentals of that specific coin, I simply took the trade because a fellow trader repeatedly insisted it was a "Perfect Trade". I have booked my loss now, but I’ve realized it’s far better to lose money on your own analysis than to lose it following a signal.
