I owned a 1000cc hatchback car. On my way back from the office, I would often bring Mandy her favorite food. As soon as I honked the horn, she would run toward me, and seeing her favorite treats made her truly happy.
One day, I saw an advertisement on social media. A man was standing next to a 2500cc SUV, claiming that he bought it through trading. Greed was born in my heart. I created an account on that exchange and deposited $100. On the very first day, I turned $100 into $150 — a $50 profit in a single day. That success made my greed grow even stronger.
I then deposited $1000 at once, making my total capital $1150. I started taking large leveraged trades. At that time, I only knew how to buy and sell. I had no idea about candlesticks, stop loss, take profit, strategies, or market trends. In reality, I didn’t even have 1% knowledge of trading.
On the very first day of heavy trading, my $1150 started getting liquidated. I received a notification saying my account was about to be liquidated and that I needed to add more funds. In panic, I immediately added another $1000 and opened more trades. After some time, that amount also started getting liquidated, forcing me to add even more funds.
This cycle continued until all the money in my bank account was gone. Still, I couldn’t escape liquidation. Eventually, I was forced to sacrifice my only car as well. Then came the day when my entire account was completely wiped out. I was truly on the road — because I had nothing left.
Around the same time, I also lost my job. It was a private job, so there was no pension or financial support. I was over 50 years old, and finding another job became nearly impossible. I fell into deep depression.
I could no longer afford to buy Mandy her favorite food, and she slowly became distant. Eventually, I had to give her to one of my friends so she could be properly cared for, and she went far away from me. 😭
Some time ago, I started writing posts on Binance Square after watching videos about “Write to Earn.” It has been almost three years now, and I have written over 1000 posts, but unfortunately, I couldn’t benefit from it either.
