How do you make this important mindset shift?
Consistently trimming your positions when you are in profits, even by less than 1% will instill this healthy habit.
Condition yourself into thinking that it's fine to take profits, while knowing that the Crypto market can still go higher.
If your approach for taking profits at the end of the Bull Run is: "I'll sell everything all at once at the PERFECT time!", you are bound to fail.
Many wait for the most optimal time to sell everything at once which hardly ever comes in the end and they are left with NOTHING in the end as prices retrace 90-99%.
Gradually scaling out of the market at the top will be key.
Not being too perfectionistic about your exit strategy is an important lesson that many will learn the hard way.
Don't try to be a hero.
Especially if this is your first Bull Run.
