How to spot the next $TON ?

Most people attribute $TON’s rally to the Telegram narrative, but the on-chain and derivatives data actually hinted at the move before it happened.
Before $TON made a 2x move off the bottom, there was a clear setup:
* Price was sideways and accumulating on the daily timeframe
* Funding rates stayed deeply negative for an extended period
This reflects heavy short positioning building up during consolidation. Sooner or later, a catalyst (news) arrives — triggering a short squeeze, wiping out shorts, and creating liquidity for insiders to take profit.
👉 The takeaway:
Look for setups where:
* Strong sideways accumulation (D timeframe)
* Consistently negative funding rates
That combo often signals crowded shorts — and sets the stage for a potential explosive

TON
The opportunity looked obvious — Telegram had one of the largest untapped retail ecosystems in tech, and $TON was the only blockchain tied directly to that audience.
But with time, my conviction started fading.
Telegram never seemed to go all in on TON. We got mini apps, tap-to-earn trends, and some ecosystem growth, but it still felt like the integration lacked real commitment from the top.
Yesterday changed that completely.
Pavel Durov revealed that Telegram is now stepping in as the core force behind TON and will become the network’s largest validator.
That’s not a small update. That’s a major shift.
You now have a blockchain deeply connected to an app used by nearly a billion people — with Telegram’s founder personally backing and steering the vision.
Maybe the TON thesis was never wrong.
Telegram just hadn’t fully embraced it yet.
Now it looks like they finally have.

There is no (or no longer any) selling pressure from the airdrop (from both Binance Alpha and the Billions Network project itself), yet $BILL is still being steadily pushed upward.
👉 However, looking at the candle strength and the RSI indicator on the H1 timeframe, I can clearly see a noticeable weakening in the current uptrend. On the H4 and Daily timeframes, there is still too little data to draw any firm conclusions.
