Last night to this morning I watched multiple altcoins rip hard by riding BTC’s trend. $BABY , $LUNC, $GENIUS — all pumping with serious momentum. Genius even hit 4x volume on Binance Alpha.
But instead of going with the trend, staying long, or simply sitting out if it looked risky…
A lot of traders did the opposite: they stacked heavy shorts.
*That’s a rookie mindset.*
"Price is already high, it can’t go higher" — they think.
So they keep shorting, often with no stop-loss, and end up blowing their accounts.
We’ve seen this before. $RAVE went from $0.5 to $28 in one straight move. If you were short that entire run, no capital could survive it.
