Sui Network has posted on X that its mainnet is currently experiencing a network stall, with network activity potentially paused as the core development team actively investigates the issue.
"Sui mainnet is currently experiencing a network stall. Network activity may be paused at this time. The Sui Core team is actively investigating. Updates and incident review will be shared as soon as they are available," the official Sui Network account posted.
This marks the second outage for Sui in May 2026 alone. Earlier this month, the network went offline for 5 hours and 55 minutes due to a crash bug in the gas charging logic introduced by the 1.72 release — the blockchain's second significant downtime event of 2026 following a similar six-hour outage in January.
"Sui mainnet is currently experiencing a network stall. Network activity may be paused at this time. The Sui Core team is actively investigating. Updates and incident review will be shared as soon as they are available," the official Sui Network account posted.
